Capricorn Full Moon Horoscopes for June 21, 2024
Welcome to Maria’s StarGarden and the Capricorn Full Moon Horoscopes. As I begin I like to ask that the forces of love and light surround us and bless our communication.
The moon is full at 1 degree of Capricorn in the tropical zodiac at 6:08 PM Pacific Daylight Time on June 21, 2024. Capricorn is the 10th sign of the tropical zodiac and the last of the cardinal signs which bring in the seasons. Capricorn brings us the Winter; it begins each year at the Winter Solstice point in the northern hemisphere. Capricorn is also the last earth sign out of the 12 signs. It rules the position on the wheel of the zodiac called the Midheaven, the highest point of the sun as seen from earth. The midheaven rules the self in relationship to the power structures of the world and whatever sign falls on it in our birth chart gives an indication of our career and how we conduct ourselves in public life, and our relationship to authority figures and power structures. The Capricorn influence is felt there no matter what other sign may map over it. Capricorn rules the structures of the world—all instutions in society and their power structures are the domain of Capricorn. In the physical body, Capricorn rules the bones. In the physical universe Capricorn holds sway over crystalline structure of phenomena like rocks and even snowflakes.
Capricorn’s companion planet is Saturn, which rules over time passing and aids in the forces of crystallization and structure. Saturn’s energy is a disciplining force that teaches us mastery through the lens of less is more. Lower vibrations of Saturn may keep us in fear or bound by duty, but once we achieve mastery through discipline and learn how to be responsible to ourselves with and in response to power, we truly can become masters of our own fates. The road to that mastery is not easy. Think of the mountain goat, climbing at steep heights. Or the mythical creature the sea goat, who was once Pan (part man, part goat) become this mythical creature confined to the sky. According to some Greek traditions, Pan is the only god who actually dies—which, in the vein of Capricorn’s sway over limitation, seems fitting.
When the moon is in Capricorn traditional astrology says it is in its “detriment” the place opposite its home sign, Cancer. When a planet or a light is in detriment, it’s hard for it to express itself naturally.
